Just use 3.xx. All developers really should be using 3.xx by now. You get more features (like WPA), and you are also Slim compatible. All developers really should be adding TV support in their programs as well. All that is covered in threads here. Search can be found at the top of the page.

thx for ur answer

I'm using 1.5 kernel cause I'm using the Lte Game Engine Library, which is not compatible with newest kernel..it would be nice if someone skilled put his hands on the source and adapt it for the 3.xx kernel

Sometimes it's just not possible(or very complicated) - if you are using SDL or OSL for graphics(or anything else than standard graphics.h) then it's very difficult to control screen scaling.Already tried and I gave up.
My projects:
PSPSnake
Mandelbrot Fractal Generator
Shoot4Fun
BlowUp!

It's the attempt that counts. :) I don't blame devs if they tried, but had troubles. It's when they don't bother at all... unless it's something that doesn't need TV out. Clearly, some programs don't need to do TV out as it would make little sense - like TimeBaby. Who needs a PSP clock that outputs to TV?

So I should qualify my statement - SOME developers should be TRYING to add TV out their projects.

I'm with you Kernel150! We Rock! :D
I got another fat today out of the slim fund.
I just can't bring myself to buy one. The look like when you turn them
on, you will see a two colour LCD Game & Watch like one of those Chinese
"Stony PSP" rip offs.

I don't see a reason to write for a console you don't have (or want).
No PSP dev is getting ripped on for failing to support the Dreamcast (or Amiga ;) )
SOME developers should be TRYING to add TV out their projects.
Good idea! That's why my next new one is for the original PSX, compatible
with all PSP models, all later firmware versions, and the original PSX console :D
Got to do a bit of an update to an old one first though.
I really like the idea of Time Machine for those that did buy the Slim.
If not actually, then potentially.

I sold my fat. I like to be up to date and I was getting sick of the black colour fat and the weight in my pocket :P

So I have 1 PSP now, ONLY 1! NOT 20302353254295436345 JUST 1 :D

J.F promised me Basilisk 2 for slim with TV out, now I wait patiently

Well the one I got today totals 3. One is more to collect than to use.
It has only been out of the box to keep firmware updated.
Also got an unopened PGP and Playgear street to go with it.
2 are to use, one for programming, and one to use ordinarily.
One might even become a full time bedside clock and movie player.

The Spiderman Red Slim might have given me the push I needed,
but we only got the Simpsons Yellow over here :(

it cost $600 Australian, rather expensive :P Maybe you could bargin with the seller!!

Wow, it is nice, but that's the price of 3 secondhand fats over here,
and in rather good condition, and $60 change.

The white slims are rather nice too Art, maybe you could get one of those as an alarm clock!

I still reckon white makes the screen look clearer / brighter for some reason.

I think Art needs to make an N64 emulator :P

Ew.. never liked the white.

I'm not the programmer you think.
Just able to make people see what I want them to.
You'll see what I mean in a week or so when I release some spaghetti.

This one will be funny to watch people try to compile.
If compiled with a new toolchain, some parts don't work,
with a two year old toolchain, another part doesn't work.
If not actually, then potentially.
